Thanks everyone. This was the first Mottled Java of the year off my only breeding pair. The first chick was followed shortly after by a Silver Grey Dorking. The third chick is almost out, it too is a Dorking, I expect it out in the next few minutes. It has a wing out and a small portion of it's body. I'll have to see if I can get pics, it may be another day or two, my hatches tend to be drawn out. I suspect this is due to the temperature differences inside the bators(corners are colder than the middle, etc).
They are so cute. The Motted Java is causing a ruckus of course, rattling all the others. I wanted to try the carton method, but by the time I made up my mind it was day 19 and just opted not to open the incubator unneccissarily.
Thanks everyone! First MJ chick of the season, hopefully plenty more to come!
