Sunny side up :)
I finally found some guinea keets. I don't know what kind. The seller said they would be bluish grey with white dots. Some have striping on thier faces and some have white faces but all are sorta striped on thier bodies for now. They are about a month old. I got 5 of them. I put them in with some 2 wk old chicks and the chicks are bigger than the keets lol. They all seem to get along okay.
Okay here is my question: I am feeding the baby chickens medicated chick starter. Can I feed the keets the same thing? I have some game bird grower I could mix in that I use to feed our ducks....Thanks

I have guineas and baby chics together . I mix about 1/4 game starter to 3/4 chic starter and they all do fine for me. I am no expert !! But that is how we do it.

They will do fine on the medicated chick starter. They will grow faster on the game bird with the higher protien. If you mix it like newnanchick said, that would be fine also. There are bunch of people here that everything they know came from a book and they think that is the only way you can raise that bird. I have raised chicks, poults, guineas, quail, ducks ect on purina medicated chick starter. I usually move the guineas, poults, quail and ducks to the purina startina after a week or two but some stayed on the chick starter till they were grown. The key to raising most of these birds is simply keep them warm, dry, food and water and you will be OK.

Sounds great. Thank you, I feel better now about the medicated starter. I forgot that today was a holiday. Will get to the feed store tomorrow. So far so good with the feed mixing. Now, if I could only calm/tame those guineas down lol. I cleaned thier cage today and one flew out and I spent about 20 minutes chasing the poor baby around the house. I don't know who was more tired out by the time I caught it : Him or me
