Sigh! I've seen this before and I don't want it to be true.

She was fine yesterday but this morning I went out to check on my flock around 8:45am and found her laying down. She did get up as soon as I came out. She ate some treats but laid down shortly after. She's been laying down in random spots. I noticed her limping about 20 minutes ago so I brought her inside to check her out.

I've checked her underbelly to see if an egg was stuck, all clear. Her last egg laid was Sunday.

I've checked her leg for injuries and didn't find anything.

I say I've seen it before because her sister did this last year. Same start. I'm fairly certain she had Mareks disease. I ended up culling her after two weeks of caring for her.

I'm setting up the hospital cage and going to keep her in there for today.

Suggestions on what else may be happening and what to do?

Do her droppings look like there could be egg material in it? Could she have been injured by a rooster? Hopefully, it is not Mareks. Injuries are more common, and egg laying issues could also cause some problems walking. If you should lose her your state vet could perform a necropsy to identify what is wrong.

Her droppings are more runny than normal. I have bantam roosters that may have caused it by gang-banging her. She tends to get into tight spots when they get her 😕

I gave her some eggs and vitamin b complex.
