I am sure I now have a respiratory issue going on. I came home to two 12 week old chicks dead. The one I separated is now wheezy. Her crop was empty this morning. I have put chick saver and probiotics in their water. I will be calling a vet to see about getting antibiotics for my flock. I have 29 birds I do not want to lose. Any other ideas are appreciated.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Photos of your chicks, their poop and where you are keeping them/housing can sometimes give us a clue.
While antibiotics are helpful in treating secondary infection due to respiratory disease, you still need to know what you are dealing with. If you have not disposed of the bodies, refrigerate them and send them for testing/necropsy at your
state lab. This will give you answers to what is causing death in your flock.
What type of food/treats do you use?
How much space and ventilation do you have where you are keeping them?
Have you notice wet bedding or mold/mildew in the coop or housing?
What other symptoms besides wheezing do you notice?
Is the hen that you originally posted about doing o.k. - did you look inside her beak?
Hopefully with answers to the above questions, we can at least give you better suggestions about care.
