So here's my question... we thought we had two female RIR. We have 6 chickens and almost every other day we were getting 7 eggs. So we assumed we had 2 female. But I started noticing that most my chickens were having pecks in the back of the head and scraped on their backs. Which I would assume someone is trying to mate or dominance. So here is the RIR I'm question. I have two in time out cages because they are going after and holding down the other chickens. So they go in the time out cages. And at night everyone gets along. The other chicken is a Barred Rock. As you can see the back of her this is what I'm dealing with. And we pinpointed it to this RIR. So could this be a mistaken rooster that doesnt crow. Or an overly dominate female who thinks it's her coop and shes gonna kill all my other chickens. These chickens have all been together for a year. So the pecking order has been established.
