This may be a dumb question but since my Google searches have been fruitless I'm hoping someone can help me. I am fairly new to duck raising. My girls are just over a year old. I have 2 khaki Campbell's and 1 white Chinese goose. I have read all the stuff about "yearly egg production" but it doesn't define the year in question. Do I count to one year of age or 1 year from when they started laying eggs? I know my ducks are right on par for their breed, but my goose is unreal. She started laying at 24 weeks old and hasn't stopped. She gives me an egg roughly every other day-even though the freezing cold winter in the Colorado mountains. So at one year old she had laid exactly 100 eggs!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like your girls are laying really well for you. Typically, with chickens, they use a layer’s first production cycle from 20-70 weeks as the yep.
