Hi Anna
I don't have idea, it's our first time having chickens!

Hi Anna

The reason I ask is that we have an Austra White (Leghorn X Australorp) and she looks very similar to your girl. I was hoping she would lay white eggs (for variety since most of our girls will lay brown eggs). Yesterday, we found a light brown/cream egg much like yours and I think it was from our Austra White. It is the lighter egg on the right.

I am a newbie but your girl looks like she might be an Austra White since she has the black spots like my girl.

Anna, the black spots are because she was having a dust bath, her egg is similar of the right one you have (cream)!
here is a better pic of her!

so do you think is a Austra White?
MJ

Gosh, I am not sure. I think the black spots are more indicative of Austra White and it appears your girl is all white. So I am not sure. I would think if she was pure Leghorn, she would have white eggs. ?? I am guessing she is a Leghorn mix but I think it depends on the hatchery or breeder on what hybrids they are promoting or selling.

Perhaps someone with more expertise will chime in.

PS She is a pretty girl!

Anna

thank youuu
