Yelling pullet

I have a month-old polish pullet (or she should be a pullet...) who really likes to yell. It's not a rooster crow, just a single loud, piercing cry, although she does do the classic pose roosters do when they crow. She'll do it at any time of the day. This is the first time I've ever had chickens; what's going on?
