Hello All,
I've got a lovely young girl (almost a year old) who I only today noticed has a massive, ugly and painful looking (but apparently not so much to touch) lump on her neck. It's different to the crop, which is much lower down and easy to feel, and travels all the way around her neck. It had a few scabs on it, possibly from where other girls might have had a go at her, and there is no pus coming out at all. It doesn't seem like it hurts her to touch, just annoys her - she eventually struggles if you press on it, after a couple of minutes.
It looks absolutely terrible though.
Otherwise, her behaviour is completely normal. I checked them all over a little under two weeks ago and they were all ok, but I've been really sick and haven't seen much of her seen then, other than the usual daily feeds. Her appetite seems exactly the same from what I saw today (I've isolated her now), and there's no other symptoms. She's alert and running and wants to scratch around in the dirt.
I'll upload a photo shortly.
I'm honestly not optimistic because it looks downright ghastly.
