My rooster has had problems since i got back from vacation. His face gets pale randomly (like he's not getting enough oxygen) and he has a runny nose, i was going to treat for a respiratory infection but today i picked him up since i noticed him laying down and noticed some yellow bumps in the back of his throat. He also had two small white bumps on his comb but they've started to disappear so i think fowl pox may be a possibility but I've never seen that so i don't know. I caught three other birds and checked them and Freya my easter egger has the bumps in the back of her throat as well.
Everyone is eating and drinking and active.
I also have three eleven week old chicks living near the adults, whatever this is they have definitely been exposed.
There's no way i can get pictures the bumps are too far back.
What could this be and how can i treat it?

If it’s fowl pox they will usually get over it just fine with nothing. Just keep an eye on the mouth and throat. They can get really clogged up to where they can’t breathe.
I had two roosters that I had to scrape their mouths out daily with a q- tip. It got old real fast but they got over it just fine. It’s carried by mosquitoes.

Okay thank you, i was also thinking of canker? I've never had it but I've read about it. I'm operating under the assumption that it's fowl pox because of my roosters other symptoms but could i just treat for canker even if it's fowl pox, just in case? Or would that make their immune systems too weak to handle fowl pox? I'm going away again at the end of the month and leaving my chickens in my mother's care so i need to figure this out fast. If it's fowl pox i know i can't do anything until the virus has run it's course, i read it usually lasts two to three weeks, if it's fowl pox he's already had it about a week and a half (the bumps on his comb not the things in his throat those are new), so that should mean it will go away soon right?
i have nutridrench in all of the waters right now,
And my little chicks, they've been exposed what should i do for them? I tried to check my biggest ones mouth today but she's still small i was afraid I'd hurt her so i gave up pretty quick.

My chickens have the dry fowl pox ( comb and waddles and face) I read that the fowl pox that affects their throat (wet pox) is a different virus and can make them sicker. I gave mine vitamin water. I read the only thing you could do was boost their immune system with high protein and vitamins. So far we are on week two and I noticed the pullet who first showed signs has pox around her eye- so I administered antibiotic eye drops tonight to prevent secondary infection
I read to watch their intake and drinking if they have the wet pox, as it becomes difficult to swallow and breath. Good Luck!
BTW my DH is telling everyone my chickens have the chicken pox...... I have explained but can't help himself

If it's wet fowl pox can i go ahead and treat with copper sulfate anyway to be sure it's not canker? As i said before i only have until the end of the month before i will be leaving to help my cousin house sit, i had a conversation with my mother on everything she'll need to do but I'd prefer my birds to have a clean bill of health by the end of this month (yes i recognize that there's nothing i can do for pox but if it's something else like canker i need to treat now).

Can you post photos?
i was going to try later, but it's really far back in his throat, I'd need a helper and nobody here is willing at the moment.
I've looked up pictures for both but i still can't tell. I'm starting to panic i think rooster is having trouble breathing, his face has been getting pale randomly and then turning red again a few seconds later.
