dlhunicorn, do you think a Tbsp of ACV in a gallon of water all the time is a good idea or not? So far, I've always had that in the water. Lately I'm only serving 1/2 Tbsp for 1/2 gallon because I freshen the water more frequently. Originally I had read that ACV reduced stress in chickens, but with more research, I even read some folks think it's a worm cycle deterrent. What can you tell me about it that is purely scientific? Thanks to this site, I became aware of the probiotic yogurt being the best. I had to read a ton of stuff to find out how to know if it was probiotic. I had read that plain was best. I bought some Kroger brand plain, but that was before I knew about probiotics. The info wasn't pointing me to a brand, so I googled probiotic yogurt brands, and I think Stoneyfield plain is a good choice, and I'm wondering about YoBaby brands. What are your thoughts. What brand do you use. The word probiotic wasn't on any brand at Kroger here. My eyes are 50+ yrs. old, and it's hard for me to see the small writing in the list of ingredients. I'd have to write down the names of ingredients to look for, too, because I would never remember them otherwise! LOL! I know I've spent several hours or more reading "Where I keep my Information" that you have made available. What's funny is that my level of comprehension is questionable because there are several links to alleged "Easy to read and understand" info that was over my little chicken-brain head! Brand names would be beneficial to many folks where probiotic yogurt is concerned. I think Dannon is being sued because some money hungry lawyers don't like the health benefit claims or else some competitors don't like the sales spike Dannon experienced after claiming in advertising such benefits. Who knows??? University literature from Mississippi State University will lead anyone to believe that chickens should only get their balanced diet feed for maximum health and nutrition. Most of us on this site would have a hard time giving up the joy of watching our pets eat treats from time to time, but I have learned by practice that treats every day are a big NO-NO! Just wondering what you consider to be the wisest treats and how often; how much quantity you would provide them. Don't forget brand names when applicable! Thanks!
