2year old RR hen had yolk all over her yesterday. After a warm bath I was able to pull out a broken soft shell egg. Today she’s lethargic and her poop is yellow foamy. Is it worms? Or infection?? coccidiosis? Any info is greatly appreciated…

Thanks here’s a few pix

She is not eating or drinking..
if any yolk was left inside her, by now it's growing bacteria that will quickly evolve into a reproductive infection. The poop indicates infection has probably begun. She needs an oral antibiotic. What do you have on hand?
She is not eating or drinking. I have a call into the vet. I do not have any antibiotics on hand. I’m hoping he will see her by morning. I just hope he makes it in time.

Can you try getting her to drink some sugar or electrolyte water held up to her beak in a small cup? Gatorade is also good. If you can get some human calcium or Tums, give her one orally. Calcium citrate with vitamin D 3 is good for shell-less eggs or eggs that break. Enrofloxacin is available online, but may take 5-7 days to get there. Dosage is 0.1 ml per kg (each 2.2 pounds) given orally every 12 hours for 5 days. A vet can be helpful.

I had the same problem with my hen, unfortunately, it kept coming back to her and at one point got her. I would give her plain yougert and cottage cheese, antibotics and keep trying warm epson salt baths to maybe help. Also try getting her to drink watermellon juice or vitamin water. Is she sleepy? Do you have a picture of her?

She will drink when I give her some water from a syringe. This is some great information! Thank you so much !!!!
