I relies there are properly many posts like this but there is so many mixed information. In June I got 3 yellow golden pheasant chicks as presents( i had already had learned all about there care). i decided to try my luck in breeding them as they are such lovely birds. Just to my luck i ended up with 1 male and 2 females, they are unrelated. Same farm but different parents. There are so many different articles on them though and the information is different. So my first question is, is it legal in new york to breed golden pheasants without permits I have tried looking on the fish and wildlife cite but I just cant find that information. I was also wondering would they breed in the spring (2015), they would be a year old then. Do you recommend letting a chicken (silkie) sit on the eggs or incubate them. If incubate what type of incubator do you recommend and what should the settings be set at. Also is there anything I can do to make it more likely for them to breed. The male I have will eat out of my hand but the females wont. I also need a name for the male any suggestions.
