Yellow sticky substance oozing out of pipped egg

I had my humidity at 50% until lock down then it’s been at 70% for hatching. Nose and mouth are clear. I moved him to his own incubator and seems to be doing good in there still. Was going to wait until those blood vessels absorb and maybe assist his hatch as that yellow fluid dries rock hard 😳 I’ve had 4 others hatch today and non were like this
His egg maybe was bigger and had more fluid
Air cell a bit smaller
Nothing you did
Keep us posted
After external pip it could take him 24 -48 hours to be absorbed
He may even zip himself yet
Stay patient

How's the duckling this morning ?
He’s doing good, I assisted his hatch last night and he just laid there for hours and wouldn’t open his eye so I thought we were going to lose it but this morning when I checked on him he’s

He was actually in one of the smaller eggs, unfortunately that yellow stuff dried that membrane over his head and he wasn’t able to turn or move at all in his egg. He’s doing good this morning 😁

Yes that stuff is like cement
You may find more areas with it on him
Good thing the other ducks knocked him over so you could see the issue
So glad he is doing good :)

So glad I spotted that egg too! Do you think just dawn dish soap will get that off ? I was thinking maybe a coconut oil soak in warm water then wash him with dawn ?

no just use warm water and gently rub it
So small areas st a time then let baby warm up
At day 3-4 you can give it a bath in warm 5-10 mins and continue to gently rub and areas to still have a bit
Dry with paper towel and back to the heat
Please check this baby for pasty butt
Because he was born glued he will probably have this and it can be deadly if not looked after ASAP but will be fine if you clear his bum
I put a warm wet cloth on his bum rub gently for a few mins this helps to loosen the dried on goo / poo Then rinse under the sink with warm water
Don’t get the belly button area wet yet
