My husband wants to raise rabbits eventually for meat. We only started chickens this year. I know I kind of went off the deep end here with my chickens only wanting three at first and now I have 29 but rabbits not so sure...

Edit: The reason why I don't think I could do rabbits is what I found with chickens. I don't want to process any of my chickens. Even though I have a love hate relationship with my rooster who carries multiple definitions of the word cock...

I have two, Bonnie and Pinkerton. Very sweet little animals and as you can see, very accepting of new friends. Aka Piglet the guinea pig.

My husband decided we should into raising meat rabbits. He used to have rabbits as a teen and raised them. So, we recently brought home 8! One is a New Zealand (possible crossed with something?), One is a Flemish Giant mixed with mini Rex, then we have 4 of her offspring (one male and 3 females). One female I'm not sure of, and and a male I'm not sure of, as a friend of ours was needing to re-home it so we took it, (that's what started the whole rabbit idea again!) ;) I'll attach a picture of him, (I believe it might be a mini lop?) I don't have much experience with rabbits myself, so I have spent a lot of time reading up on them! Any advise is appreciated!!

Do you know how much it weighs? Looks like maybe a holland lop with a rounder face and shorter ears. But I’m no expert lol.

To me from those pics I'd say Black tort holland lop. Minis usually have smaller heads and are significantly larger than hollands. A holland will run 2-3 pounds full grown, a mini 4-5 and sometimes 6. hollands are loafs of bread with long ears, minis are more like a basketball with a small head.
