For the last few weeks my Polish hen has been flying over the fence to lay eggs in my bantam coop. I thought it was pretty odd, but figured it wouldn't hurt anything. I now have 4 broody bantams - and 1 broody Polish, lol. Seems it is catching after all. I have 5 girls alternating on 3 nests - plenty of mommas and they are sharing nests peacefully - so I just let them be and let nature take it's course. My Polish has only been truely broody and sitting for about a week, she just happened to be on the nest when this baby hatched out......

She has been laying in there for a few weeks so I am hoping some of HER eggs hatch out also, this little guy is a cross between my blue silkie roo and a buff cochin hen. Wish us luck!!

I've had a broody polish.....she sat with another hen who had already been sitting for about a week. Then she killed the chicks before I could get to them
