so i was getting a little imnpatient with my black australorp hens.
yesterday day i went out to check my coop. got three eggs! one from my black star who has been laying, another from my old RI Red hen who lays about every 4 days and then this little tiny egg from one of my 4, 6 month old black australorps. then today TWO little eggs. another one had layed, then i just went out again and the third is in the nesting boxes. the fourth however may take a little longer, shes still rather pink. so excited! 3 hens started laying in the past day and a half! now i just have to wait for the other one, my buff orp, leghorn, silver spangled, silver laced wyandotte, holland rock, and two EE's to start laying.
