Hello!
Does anyone know what type of duckling this might be? I can't find a perfect match on Google Images. The egg came from a barnyard mix where there were at least 10 breeds of duck. Hard to tell from the photo but the bill has almost symmetrical green areas on each side. Feet are 100% black.

This one's been through a rough hatch too... struggled after the first pip, kept trying to pip elsewhere, needed some assistance, and looked kinda "flimsier" than the two that hatched a couple days before, but at 2 days old is happily running around with the others. After all that drama and excitement, we can't wait to figure out what he or she is!

Thanks in advance!

It's sure precious! being a barnyard mix it would be hard to say what it is mixed with, but it reminds me of a black Swedish duckling. Do you have any idea what the other breeds are?
Thanks Miss Lydia!
I was also thinking some kind of Swedish but couldn't find matching markings. Very possible it's a mixed breed.

There were a bunch of ducks (and geese and chickens) at the farm we got the eggs from, it was hard to keep track! But I definitely recall some mallards, pekins, call ducks, campbells, runners, rouens....
I just found these pictures on the farm's Google Maps reviews and now I'm kind of thinking it could be one of those black & white ones (if the yellow baby feathers fade to white) in the back-right of some of these photos. Those are also Swedish, right? That would be so cool!

Sure looks like a possibility. I'm pretty sure the yellow down will become white as feathers grow in. You'll just have to wait and see but be sure to post pics as this little one grows up. It's such a cutie.
