They were hatched last Monday & shipped. 17 chicks arrived to me Wednesday. Either Wednesday night or Thursday morning this one had pulled a bunch of feathers from her flank (the day is hazy because we had 2 losses Thursday-1 lethargic, 1 seizures & ? wry neck?). Saturday morning I noticed this one was lying down whenever she was eating or drinking & just not quite "right". Decided to keep an eye on her. Sunday noticed the limp & separated her to see if limiting her movement might help (& afraid the others would start to bully her). Not sure if she was injured in transit (which is why she was pulling feathers from that flank), or if it was coincidence, or what...but also have no clue what to do for it at this point.
Currently in a small box lined with cloth (she seems to move easier on that than on the pine shavings). Seems to be eating an drinking well, poop seems about normal. Hatched 4/27, so 8 days? She was about the same size as the others for the first few days but has since lagged behind in size & is one of the smaller ones (salmon faverolles)
