Yet another medicated feed question.... TSC starter medicated???

I've got 11 chicks that are 2 weeks old. I've been feeding them starter that I got at TSC... nowhere on the bag says "medicated", it only says a "complete" feed. Would it say medicated? Is the medicated feed necessary? If they need worming, when and what do i give them?? Thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions...

My TSC chick food is not medicated. Unfortunately I was not able to find it locally at all. Mine have been fine without it, I would have preferred to feed it to them. It is for coccidia (sp) you will need to be very careful about keeping the cage clean. I don't have other chickens so I am hoping they will be okay. Can't tell you about worming yet bt there are some great postings about it, do a search on worming. You won't be needing it for a few more mos.

I found our medicated food at rural king. I've also seen it online. its made by manna. We're worming ours. I think you do it around 10 wks. I'm doing it because it's suspose to help keep them healthy, and plus we have four kids (my two & my nieces) that are in love with the chickens and would let them sleep in bed with them if we let'em.

No TSC starter is Not medicated. Do not worry about worming either as it is not nessasry. Just keep them clean and dry you should be OK.
