I finally got the coop far enough done to move the 51 chickens outside, and not a moment too soon. My DW and I were almost at our wits end with the smell. I let them run around the 20x24 run for about a hour before I locked them up for the night. They didn't know what to do with all the room, as they have been trapped in a 6x4 wooden brooder for six weeks. It is suppose to be in the 30's tonight so I did run a heat lamp out to the coop. I will post pics of the coop when I finish all the trim work and touch-up painting. Man, it sure does feel good not to have them in the house and change the wood shavings all the time. Now I will finally be able to truely enjoy having chickens.
