I have been giving my grown chickens yogurt for like 2 weeks now. I had to counteract the runny poos from Tylan injections. They are now ADDICTED to it. Seriously they run to the bowl that I give it to them in and sqawk and peck at it. What to do? Can I keep on giving it to them forever? I give them a full cereal bowl of it because it is 6 grown chickens. Is that too much?
Also I gave some to my 2 week old chicks yesterday mixed with some ACV and chick starter because I noticed that one of them was looking sickly. How long could I give it to the chicks and still be safe?

I'm probably just being panicky, but better safe than sorry

Yogurt and acv are very good for chickens. I give mine yogurt 2-4 times a week. There is also an excellent thread on byc for making your own homemade yogurt so you can save a few bucks. Just type in yogurt in the search bar and you should find it easily. As for the acv I give mine 2 tbsps per gallon of water, daily! They love it and it is so good for them. I also down 2 tbsps with a 1/4 cup of regular apple cider, great for the hair, nails and skin-not to mention the gut! Have fun with your chickies!!

I give yogurt regularly, especially now while mine are molting and need all the extra protein they can get.
They got yogurt this morning, along with half a bag of shredded cheddar that was going to waste.
