someone on a different thread suggest with my chicken thats not eating i should do this. " You should slowly hand feed small amounts with a syringe. A little hard boiled egg yolk mashed up with some yogurt and a little water to form a liquid is a good syringe mix." i dont have any yogurt. what is a good substitute for yogurt.

Buttermilk would be OK. Birds are lactose intolerant so regular milk isn't so good. You could simply mix a bit of chick feed with water as well. You can also place bits of moistened food or drops of liquid along the side of their beak and let them pull it into their mouth. This is actually safer than syringe feeding because you can't accidentally force the food into their lungs.
