I waited until day 26 to open the egg and see what was going on. He had developed so well until the last couple of days, I noticed he stopped moving. He was dead when I opened the egg and had the yoke sack attached to his belly, but otherwise, looked fine. What happened? I used one of those little 3 egg incubators and was sooo happy it was working rite up until the end...

Does it have to do with the humidity?

It's very normal for chicks to completely form, then die before hatching. They also die after pipping sometimes. They just lack the strength to do it, or there's something going on internally that makes them just...stop.

It's sad and unfortunate, but it's part of nature.
