i know in some birds things can crop up in specific breeds such as crested ducks can get extra toes and in cats the ragdoll breed is more predisposed than others to have hook claw (second set of claws coming out of the pads)
is this something similar??

i have 12 yokos and only 1 with what appears to be...leg feathering

if it is common does it go away or does anyone have pictures of adults with this?

they are call stubs, and they are one of the many genes found on feathered shanked birds, the issue is that stubs is a recessive gene and will hide for generations untill two birds with the same gene mate and hatch a chick like yours

but...i dont believe shes ever crossed with any feather shanked ...and yokos are not a feather shanked breed??
