This is my first time hatching chicks. I'm on day 21 in the hatching process. Several of them have pipped and are doing well, however one has rolled over and yellow fluid (I assume it yolk) that has leaked out of the bottom of the egg. The chick is not moving around anymore inside the egg like the rest of them are. My question is, do I roll the egg back over or leave it alone. I was also curious about the yolk or yellow fluid leaking out. Is that normal or what.

It sounds like the chick accidentally ruptured the yolk sac. I'm sorry, but it's chances of surviving something like this is slim. It's up to you if you want to help it, if it's not too late. There is a wonderful story of one little chick's survival and how the member assisted in this post. Best of luck and fingers crossed.

Thanks for the help. The little guy did not make it. I did not intervene, but if I had I still think I would have been too late. Thanks for your reply.
