Yolk sack

Ducky was born Saturday night, he was born early, he was still attached to the yolk sack, it has gotten smaller but is still attached what should I do? He will be starting food today with vitamin e should I just leave it?

That's a good bit left to absorb, but it can do it within a few days. The biggest key is to keep it on something soft, so it can't bust it open, and try to keep the brooder floor as dry and as clean as possible. You can rub a little antibiotic ointment or vaseline on it, but its not absolutely necessary.

Also, if you have other ducklings, they might bite at it, which you don't want to happen. So you may have to isolate the fella for a few days.
