We are collecting eggs from our Splash Ameraucana Roo X 3 Barred Rock Hens.
Hope to set them around April 10-11 so they hatch around May 1st.
Anyone else planning anything they would like to share?

April 17th and 18th are better dates according to the moon phases. I am experimenting this year with set dates and results. Some dates I go by the moon phases and some are random dates. So far(2 hatches)the favorable moon phase date is better, with an 88% hatch rate and the other random date only a 60% hatch rate from the same birds, same bator, same room. I have 2 more random dates set and another moon phase date set. We'll see what happens
