My DH and I were delivering the coop I sold today, and they have bantams. She had 2 of those Milli Fluer whatevers. He's like those are really pretty. What do you do with bantam eggs.

Well, not much really make a 12 egg omelet I guess. Can you get that kind in a standard size chicken? I sure like the coloring.

My kids LOVE the mini eggs we get from our little Mille's - they fight over them like CANDY if I only have ONE ....

(I get one a day now - so I hide em till I have enough for everyone without causing a fight!)

Well, I've decided that I'm only providing information on hatching schedules, brooding locations, eggs on their way in the mail, etc. to my wife on a need-to-know basis only.

There's just no good reason for her to get worked up or upset

until she absolutely has to.

The chicks that just hatched out have melted her heart a little bit, anyway.

My SO, who does not live with me, just found out how many eggs I'm incubating when he came over Sunday to see the new little chickies. His eyes got

when he looked in my "incubation closet" at THREE full LG's (he thought I only had one

). So, I quickly gave him a handful of day-old chicks & all was better...I think??

My DH gets cranky when I get them in the winter cuz it costs money to heat the brooder coop. He's generally ok, as long as I sell them and make more money. He's really going to be cranky when he finds out I'm planning on having a new breeder coop.

How big are the coops you make, and what do you charge for them? I've been trying to convince the DH he needs to get off his duff and make me some...

They are 4X4 will hold 4 heavy breed, 5 regular, and 8 bantams.

I charge $600 but if you consider that those flimbsy chicken barns are no bigger and are 1/4 plywood also cost $600, this is a heck of a deal.
