I had put some chickens on here not long ago and you all were so kind to give me your opinions on which sex they were, well now I have acquired some babies and was hoping you would be willing to help me out again? this could also be a good test for your brains as well, lol. one is a rhode island red, 2 are buff orphingtons, 2 are barred plymouth rocks. I also have 3 silkies but they are just to little at this time, but as soon as they start to show signs of anything il put them on here. thank you all in advance for any and all help.

They are a little young, but I'd say Chick A & E are roosters.

Thank you and what is a good age to try to figure out? I am new at this an every single time I get chicks Im told they are hens at least half or more turn out to be roos.

also what is a good age to try to figure out the sex of silkies?

When they are just about fully feathered probably, around 8 weeks or so. (I think! Anyone else know a good age?)

That's a good age - e xcept for silkies or polish - harder to sex young
