The wind was what was bad here today. I don't know what the wind chill was but it cut through me like a knife.
It was soi windy I saw one of my hens lay the same egg twice!!

OH here in Nebraska today it was practically SPRING! today....

We got up to 45 and it was LOVELY - I had all the doors open and a couple of windows, the chickens were flappin around in the dirt..... the horse was sleeping standing up in the sun - and the goat dozed off on top of a pallet!
The cats were snoozin on the back of the couch in the sun....
LOVELY!!

Today it was about 38 degrees but that wind...
Man I bet the wind chill was 20. I let the chicks out today and they would just jump and glide with the wind.

It's cold when all my call ducks go in the coop and refuse to come out! This is the 1st time I've ever had them do this so, I just gave them fresh water in the coop and turned on a light and let them stay in there for tonight to since it's going to be about the same as last night......12-14 degrees....!

chickens water was frozen two days in a row and im sure it will tommorow. im gona make me a heater out of an old cookie tin.
