You know it is cold outside when the girls would rather be inside looking out the windows during the day than outside. LOL. It's 22° outside, 27° in the run, and 31° in the coop and supposed to get colder this week. At least they were smart enough to go where it is warmer and no wind.

Awww, poor chilly girls! That is a super cozy looking coop. Did you wrap your run for winter? Mine definitely appreciated having a larger wind protected space, but I could see them start to hunker down once it dipped to the low 20's.

I did wrap the run but only 3/4th the way up so we could keep ventilation. That's why it was 27° compared to 22° outside the coop. It's also covered so doesn't really get good sun until noon. They are all in the run now doing there thing. LOL

Same! I started out covering it even further up, but the run would turn into a sauna whenever we had a mild day.

I'm glad yours felt good enough to venture out. What breeds do you have? I think I'm seeing some Golden Comets, but can't quite tell!
