You know it's time to clean house when.......

I have the space between the clean and dirty clothes.

Okay, today, I'm cranking up the Music of Christmas and cooking those Christmas gifts!!!! and cleaning the kitchen after I mess it up a little more.

If you're nearby, stop by for a piece of cake! Meet you on the porch. LOL, just cannot come in yet....

Then I gotta clean the chimney or maybe around the window, cause we need to use the wood stove to heat the house!!!!!!!!

Merrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Nancy

when you get a phone call at 10 am on Christmas Eve that says... I'll be there in a few hours!!!

and, due to the weather conditions, you had thought you were having a quiet day...

when you take your 4yo to your relatives house for gifts and the first thing he says when he walks inside is "ooh, your house is clean".

My mom told me one of her favorite Christmas memories is when her nephew, aged 8 at the time, walked into her bedroom and said "WOW! What a MESS!" When his dad found out he said that, he was mortified. But he knew it was true. I guess it's genetic.

When you're mortified when the pest control company wants to see the inside of your home....I got the call and it wasn't until they said they wanted to see if we had any pest problems and it was optional, that I breathed normally again.

I thought it was a requirement and I was going to shop for a new post control company....I didn't have time to clean up for them! Well, 3 brooders on the porch, egg wrapping supplies on the dining table, 8 incubators out everywhere and running, and 4 netherland dwarf bunnies in the laundry room and 2 expectant netherland dwarfs, mothers and in a few days baby goats will be in the house to be rocked by the wood burning stove and fed and taken care of! Seed order catelogs everywhere and a clothes line in the middle of the great room for drying out our wet clothes from out doors.... I couldn't let them drip on the bunnies in the laundry room....Okay I'm definitely beyond all help....I think I'll go live in the barn if the animals will let me!

So here is the evidence.

It doesn't help that I am not organized, and I have been reading rather than keeping ahead of the mess I make.

I spent most of yesterday cleaning. It is much better today. I was rather shocked at how much dirt the dogs bring into the house in just a day or two.

I would understand the mess more if I lived on a farm, but I don't. I am stuck in suburbia, in a sub-division house and a nice size lot.

Call yourself a suburban farmer and meet people on the porch..Don't have a porch.... meet them outside on a bench!!!!..That's why farmer's have porches...Step away from the "hot and dirty" insides of the house!!!
