You know it's time to clean house when.......

My house is a filthy mess with the odds stacked against getting cleaned any time soon
.4 brooders in one bathroom dust ,pine shaving allover al lthe time..

Eggs in 2 bators in my closet so all my clean clothes are stacked on 2 chairs so high they are ready to fall off( htis has gone on since June)

Dirty clothes on the floor because a small dog carrier is sitting on the clothes hamper permenantly

.Toilet paper and trash dust bunnies unde the bed most of which is from my little dog who likes to sneak into the trash can and drag alt that stuff under there.
Which makes me wonder if my socks are there too.?
not pairs..NO.. but just one of each. I ask for socks Xmas last year and got them a month later one of each was gone. Never to be found Where do they go? Seroiously?
.Yesterday i was at my lowest point ever
My .feet were cold ster of going thru the sock drawer the umteenth time (There HAS to be ONE pair!) i just grabbed 2 unrelated socks one black and one white to put on and hoped i didnt get a heart attack or break a leg where i was carted to the hospital and then commited as being an escaped Alzeimers patient.

Muddy foot prints are all over the white kithen floor an hour after its mopped from my 170 lb dog
After i mop she slurps her water all over the floor and walks thru it AND true .... me walking in from the coop yard 15 20 30 ?times a day. Too many to change shoes each time.
Go Barefoot you say? I dontt think so
I dont want black feet that look like im turning into a warewolf with so much hair on them,

Oh Hair? well my computer chairs wheels look like they are growing their own hair so much is clogged in the rollers not to be removed ( i guess i COULD cut it out.)

Said large dogs tail slobber and mud slung & dried on Kitchen cabinet door fronts, stove and fridge cat food scatter around when the dog sneaks the cat food can into the washer roon daily to finish whats left.and hair floating on everything.
Just TRY and get it off that fuzzy jacket! DARE YOU! The air electricity just sucks it back on in 5 minutes.
i have sheets on my livingtroom chairs to keep from vacumning a ton off daiily from the cat and dog.s
...
.SOOOO b y the time i would clean all that and its back the same by the next day as bad .... who has time to get on BYC or take care of the chickens and baby chicks?

Well i wont even get into the rest... dog slobber on the sliding door 3/4 of the way upyes of course , clogged bath sink drain from pine shavings from ther chicks waterers and crumbles jamming it up. Tedious picking it out with a tweezers but first dumping out the nasty water by throwing away glassfuls into the toilet...

SO NO i dont clean it all daily. I DO make my bed, and do the dishes and clean the kitchen counter for sure but the rest is hit and miss

. Who cares?
Listen.. I DO WANT it clean ...i just dont want to commit myself to 12 -15 hours a day trying to KEEP it clean ...so ..it stays a mess and i do what i can and the rest? ....Well As soon as i win the lottery my maid can clean it up.

You are watching Hoarders on TV and they walk up to a house that looks just like yours and then the doorbell rings.
I still not sure which would be worse; The TV show ringing my doorbell, or that they may never get here. I am willing to let most of it go, including the puppies, but so far I haven't had any takers.

I just want someone to come and clean the base boards, and clean out the garage.

Wait maybe it would help to have someone around that would either clean up the puppy puddles, or housebreak the nasty little dogs.

Im expecting them any day!

I have a reoccurring dream that I have a bunch of fish tanks filled with huge fish and plants (with glass that you can't see through), and didn't remember to feed them in many years. It's like I forgot they were there. Strange. Haven't had fish in about 12 year...
Interesting!
.Maybe its worry you havent "fed" your family enough ( attention) 'in years.'. feel your on the outside looking in .and they inside?
THEN again...maybe thats too deep..maybe its chickens and NOT really fish!Iahave worried id forget some at times.

Do you have a pug too? I have NEVER had a dog shed so much in my life. We have to vacuum the floor and furniture and dust mop the kitchen every other day and every time we do we get huge handfuls of hair. I just tell anybody who complains about the pet hair that the dog was here first and he's staying and if you don't like fur on your clothes don't sit on the FUR-niture!
Used to clean someone house that had a pug..They had BLACK CARPETso you can guess how it looked!
Idont think my mastiff shed that much

You guys know that the producers of Hoarders are monitoring this thread for their next show participants, right?
Im looking out the windows right now.I sometimes watch Hoarders because i get so scared I DO go on a (temporary) cleanng spree .My family thinks i should be on the pet hoarder show... Well both.

I try to spread the blanket out and cover the bed, so that the dog hair and dirt end up on the OUTSIDE instead of inside where I lay. Unfortunately then DH comes along, screws it all up, and then invites the dog up on MY SIDE....and I find sand and dog hair on my side when I go to bed.

REALLY feel for you! HONESTY
My house is really BAD dog dirty but the thought of sand and dog hair UNDER the covers freaks me out and give me chills Go figure .
Its my one sanctuary from the grossness of the rest.... under the covers .
I wear shoes and socks all day but if i dont take a shower one night i have to wash my feet before i get in and street clothes (onlyr jammies) are FORBIDDEN under the covers even by sleepy grand kids or anyone. Not even me.The bed has to be made FIRST thing before anyone sits on it with clothes before a cat or dog gets on the top of it ....MADE..Pets can get on tOP thats it.
. Crazy anal huh?

While I am the tosser and my DW the saver(aka hoarder). Sentiment only goes so far for me, a physical object can't compare to a memory. As far as "that brings back memories" it doesn't really bring them back it reminds you that's all, to bring it back would imply that they went somewhere. My wife says what if she loses her memory that she needs to keep it as a reminder. I say if you lose your memory how will you know what the object is and what it reminds you of? She isn't that bad, although do we need 300 twist ties off of loaves of bread? How many can you possibly re-use? Oh yeah and 100 or so of the plastic ones with the points on them too. I asked her one time if she was going to open a bakery? Boy the couch wasn't that bad actually.I tell her all the time throw it out now so the kids won't have when we are dead and gone.
