You know it's time to clean house when.......

you feel like going shopping at your favorite discount store, so you open *pick a closet* the closet door and find some really neat things you forgot you have. Now I don't have to go shopping.

I had to clean house today, as it was starting to look like we were hoarders. It's all thanks to my dogs, of course. They shred cardboard boxes like the ones yogurt and Capri Sun drinks come in. Then they leave bits of cardboard all over the place. Empty soda/water bottles are always fun too, so there are crunched ones, flat ones, and those waiting for their turn in the jaws of the Crushers.

Really, my house was quite overtaken, and today, all is clean and uncluttered. For now, there is always tomorrow, and a bit of cardboard or missed bottle just waiting for an anxious mouth.

The house was clean THanksgiving - well sort of Three rooms were clean by our standards.....Ahemmm, I put locks up high at the top of the doors that could only be reached by laters - tall doors and old house so no one would accidentally go into closed part of the house....I decided police tape was a bit dramatic.........,,,,Just a few days later. Boxes piling up being made for shipping eggs, computer back on the dining table because only one room heated in the house, Clothes hanging from the top of door sills, dryer broke totally,,,,ahemmm.....it's going downhill again.

A friend came by to get eating eggs and I asked if she wanted to come in out of the cold ....She stepped in the door and looked around and said, "and now where do I step".... Yes, tomorrow , or Sunday it's time to clean house again!

Get a house bunny! Then you have an excuse for throwing cardboard down on the floor.

We had an energy audit today so, while he was wandering around taking measurements, I spent the morning cleaning. After 3 hours, the kitchen looked relatively decent. After he left, I put together the new vacuum and vacuumed the living room for the first time since we moved here. (Ahem, we moved at the end of June.) I got one of the "pet-friendly" vaccuums It's pretty good on the dog and cat hair. The carpet doesn't look nearly so bad now...
