When you get drenched because it started storming before you got around to locking everyone up for the night

Or when you get up at 1am during a storm, and realize you didnt lock up the chickens, then freak out about the quail and geese even though they are perfectly fine, then still fret over the next hour

When you forget to shut the garage and your babies are in there, and you have to get up at 1 A.M. to shut the garage so no animals will get your ducklings. ( This totally did not happen to me last night)

When you've become numb to the amount of mounting going on in your back yard

......When you realize how unhealthy you are compared to your ducks. " All my ducks favorite treats are fruits and vegetables".

Or when you stay out in the coop cause its thunder storming and you are worried your "fresh out of the brooder" ducklings will be afraid of the thunder. Yes I did that this weekend. Stayed in there for the entire 4 hours of the storm, watching my babies. Meanwhile my 14 year old son is calling me from the house... "Mom, are you okay? Please come inside?/do you need me to come help you get inside?please mom!!!". He's a good kid. He was worried about me but I was worried about my feather babies. Eventually since I didn't come in, after about an hour of worrying about me, he came out into the yard to find me.in the coop... And since he was already drenched and muddy at that point, he just played in the kiddie pool with the ducks. chick and duckling TV is my fav!

You go away on business for two days and can’t stop wondering how big your ducklings will have grown while you were away!
