You know you're addicted when you have the above mentioned fowl and a friend brings you two mystery chicks and three day old ducklings and you say "let me fire back up my brooder"

You know you're addicted when you have family visit and you get them to help you with your chickeny-chores because if they don't you'll never get around to seeing them.

You know you're addicted when you run around in the dark like a rabid dog because you heard a squawk and can't find the culprit.
