YKYAW you go for a "Sunday Drive", and decide that you should make a quick run to the feed store. You know, you absolutely MUST know if their feed prices have changed. You walk in without giving the feed a glance, and walk out with 15 chicks, rationalizing that you weren't planning it, it was just an impulse...

YKYAW you go into the feed store knowing you already have enough and come out with a box full of chicks.

YKYAW you set more eggs in the incubator, when you already have 50 babies in the brooders.

You know you're addicted when you have 50+ chickens in the yard.
3 incubators running
3 brooders (just today condensed 2 batches into 1 to knock it down to 2 because I have some more due to hatch in a couple days...lol)
and SEVEN hens sitting on full nests of eggs YOU put there for them to sit on.... and are looking around thinking ya know if just one or two more of those big gals would go broody I could incubate all the eggs I think I need....

YKYA when you let the NN bantams save up 32 eggs, have one go broody on 9 and give 20 more to another broody. Especially when you do NOT need any more birds.
