You know you're "Obsessed" when....

when you have 5 incubators in your room and your closet has the brooders in it with 50 chicks and then you have even more in the garage not counting all the ones outside

When you start having the same chicken dream over and over EVERY NIGHT! (in my case it involves me going to buy silkie chicks)

When downy feathers in your hair makes you happy(and you can identify which of your chickens it came from) and your family is used to seeing you this way. When shavings in All your coat pockets is normal. When you sleep with a sick chick, or just sleep next to the brooder because the sound of the chicks is soothing to you. When your little peeps run to you and call for you when they are scared because you are their mama - and this not only makes you proud and extremely happy, but deep down you really consider yourself their mama too.

...when you've only had chicks for 32 hours and run into the living room to inform your hubby that you are a bad chicken mommy!! That you have to go chicken shopping first thing in the morning because you need grit so you can feed the baby girls some treats!!! Once hubby looks at you like you have two heads you KNOW you are lost!!

Ohhh and all this started because I found BYC and was devouring all the wonderful info here

You begin to plan all of you homeschooled kindergartners future science projects to focus on life cycles of chickens, how to raise chickens, chicken embryo development, internal workings of chickens, skeleton, behaviors etc. She's either gonna hate chickens by the time I'm done, or she's gonna be as obsessed as me.

When everything i see, i think i could use that to make a coop, brooder, run, or i should have it on hand just in case.

When you spend more time preparing food for your chickens than you do preparing meals for your husband??
