When you don't find it weird at all to take a chicken for a walk. (My first hen Lulu had a leash, and I used to take her to petsmart. She had to stay in my arms though, i didn;t trust the other animals.)

When you go grocery shopping and the first thing you do is head for the discounted old-veggie rack for bananas, grapes and lettuce.

When you start eating oatmeal for breakfast every morning because that's what your hens like.
