I made this mistake today. They apparently thought my foot was food and one of my BAs came after it. She pecked it hard, made me bleed and bruise!

Just thought I'd put that out there, as a little "tip of the day"

Just now learning that huh?

Here's a tip for ya - They like the holes in crocs too. They figure if they peck hard enough they'll get whatever lives in them holes to come out so they can eat it.

yeah I know what you mean! In another post about favorite treats chickens like, I listed toes... especially with red polish on the nails. Oh and FYI, they love you head to toe... eyeballs represent a mysterious treat, and freckles are tasty too. I call my girls "Freckle Peckers"

Oh and another tip. Dresses with shiny buttons all down the front. When I run out of treats, my chooks settle for pecking the buttons on my favorite house dress.
They managed to partially undress me one day, right before a neighbor showed up to buy eggs.

Rivets are shiny and his tools were shiny. They crawled right under there with him.

I wear crocks when in the coop and they follow me in to see what I may be doing and try to make the holes larger in my shoes. My flip flops have sparkley things on them

I can't wait for winter so I can protect my feet with barn boots
