Well, not exactly...
My young male Betta, last month, when I was trying to spawn him... decided to eat all the eggs

So I waited until they had an embrace with a good 30 or so eggs.. then I pounced on the tank and removed the female and tried to remove the male so I could attempt to artificially hatch them... and he was avoiding me and eating every egg he encountered.. so finally I stuck my other hand in the tank and waggled my finger at his face to try and keep him from the eggs, only he kept sucking up every egg he came across... turns out when you move your hand toward the fishie, the water pushes them in another direction. It was hopeless
