I just got some chicks today. 4 bantam chicks, 2 standard chicks and one hen thats about 2 or 3 months I think.

She is a black cohin I think standard, but could she be getting broody instincts already??
I want to post some pics but don't know how..

No, I dont think so.
Although, I had a silkie/game cross that adopted a game pullet before she even started laying.
I mean, I guess she didnt adopt her... but she kicked a games hen but when she messed with the baby.

she has got all 6 of them under her sleeping. Sometimes she goes and gives a gentle peck if one of the standard chicks is picking on the bantams. she lets them feed right where she scratches away for food and everything.
If not going slightly broody than what?

Id say they just use her for support. They probably all just cram under her (thats what my game pullet would do) and oviously she doesnt mind. Her pecking one of the chicks is probably just her bossing them around.

But hey, maybe you have an early bloomer???
