I have 4 young birds 20 weeks old. When do they start to use the roost? I have 1 older hen that uses the roost but the 4 young birds sit on the floor all night. The coop is getting to be a mess do to poop all over and not on dropping board. Thanks Cornwellkidd

How long have the young birds been in the coop? Have you tried setting them up on the roost at dusk? How has the older hen been taking to them? How much roost space is there? Can the easily get yup there without encountering the established hen?
