Hello everyone!
We had a year old Buff Orpington turn broody on Valentines Day, maybe the day before. At first I would only leave the Black Jersey giant eggs but then she got meaner and our Rooster hangs out in the nest area and would be upset if I went in there. Well on 3/8 when I went to feed the birds she came out and ate. It was really cold and snowing so I left them alone for about an hour and then when I went back and checked she was still gone. So now I have almost 30 eggs that she had been laying on and have them under a heat light at 99.5/100° trying to keep humidity around 70 but proving to be pretty hard since we do not have a setup and it was not expected. I candled them and found one smaller egg that I could see a heartbeat (maybe day 14 golden sex link) and the eggs that are on day 20+ Are completely black when candled. They have very thick brown shells. I floated them and didn’t see movement and haven’t heard anything but they did float where an egg sac would be. Is there anything else I can do besides wait another few days for the close ones?

Did your hen come back and sit in her nest again? If she did, put back the most promising looking eggs that look to be at the same level of development as each other. 30 eggs is A LOT of eggs to be under one hen, it's unlikely she would have managed to properly cover and turn that many. I set a maximum of 12 eggs under a big hen like an orpington, especially if it is their first time (first time broodies I usually set only about 6 eggs).
Otherwise your only choice is to wait and see what happens.
