I have a 3 week old Americana/Buff Brahma cross chick that appears to have a broken bottom mandible/beak attachment. It had been developing normally until recently when I noticed a loss of weight and slow of growth compared to other chickens from that hatch. Upon examination it appears that the bottom beak has been broken or disconnected from the bone. When it attempts to eat it moves the bone of the jaw (see photo below with bubble of skin) and is unable to open and close the bottom part of its beak.

I did try and reset, pull down and forward and it matches up (outer beak with mandible), but quickly moves back to the position pictured below.

Is there anything I can do to reset this chicks bottom jaw/beak attachment or should I put the chick down to avoid further pain and suffering due to weight loss?

Photo posted below. Thank you in advance for your insight.

+1 on euthanize. Put the chick out of its misery. It can't eat, and to correct this is going to cost a fortune in vet bills. I can't even see a lower jaw in the photo provided...

I'm sorry, that chick is likely in a world of pain. If you can't take it to a vet, it should be put out of it's misery.
