Needing help with identifying a sick chicken problem!!

Hi all, we have a young barnyard mix chicken that was hatched under mama, about 8 weeks old, we think a roo. Last week we isolated him inside due to inability to walk, neurological symptoms like spasms and twitching, and general lethargy. Been giving ACV, Vit. E, scrambled eggs w/ herbs for selenium, B complex, nutri-drench and lots of love. He's doing a lot better and is able to sit up (was previously laying on his side only), not spasming, eating/drinking/pooping well, and seems to be on the mend. I've suspected a vitamin deficiency or Marek's due to a bird we lost a couple weeks ago with stargazing and neurological symptoms (different coop, age and feed).

However, today we noticed a large lump or swollen spot at his right hip (the leg he can't quite get under him or stand on- it usually sticks straight back but he's trying). I'm thinking it's fairly new because we've checked him over thoroughly several times since being sickly.

With all these symptoms I'm having trouble understanding what could be going on. Anyone have advice or information that could help?

Hello and welcome to BYC! :welcome
How is he doing?
Thank you!!

He's actually doing much better, his hip is no longer swollen and he's been working up to putting weight on that leg. He can now walk around, preen, dirt bathe- just with a limp. It's been a strange illness but thankfully all the vitamins and TLC has helped immensely. He isn't able to join his coop just yet as he isn't 100% but we anticipate that'll happen soon!

That's great!
