I have a mixed flock of 4 hens - about 4.5 months old. For the 3 weeks they have had extremely liquid poops. No other symptoms. Not bloody, not foamy, and they act normal. We tried a round of Corid but no effect.

They have been outside for about 6 weeks - symptoms didn't start until only 3 weeks ago. They are in a large run with gravel/dirt substrate and a good sized coop. We feed them medicated chick feed, transitioning to adult food. Greens and fruits and yogurt to supplement.

Any ideas? We will try another round of Corid, but I'm not sure that's it? They are otherwise totally fine - just want to make sure there isn't anything else going on.....

Thanks in advance - we are newbies

Not to say this is a cure-all but worth trying: it sounds weird but it has really worked for me, I put apple cider vinegar in their water and it firms up the poop. This past week for the first time I let my girls out to free range (finally finished their outdoor run) and since they now have access to outdoor goodies, their stool is super runny. At night everyone gets locked up in the coop and by morning the stool is back to normal.

It's worth a try, especially if your chickens are otherwise healthy and asymptomatic. Could be that they are getting lots of greens outside or whatever else they are eating and that's what's causing it. After trying the apple cider vinegar in their water and seeing the results I'll always use it.

**If you try it, make sure you don't put it in a galvanized waterer (use plastic because the vinegar will corrode the metal).

Only use apple cider vinegar with the mother (raw) it looks cloudy. The clear stuff has been pasteurized and lacks all the good stuff.
There are many threads on here about using ACV in the water if you want to look into it. I use a tablespoon per gallon of water and my girls gulp it down no problem.

Good luck!!
