In mid January my husband bought me four ducklings to go along with my chicks and older chickens, I raised them since they were 2 weeks as the lady told me they were, well I just found an egg and it doesn't look anything like my chickens eggs. The egg is big and more oval shaped. Can anyone tell me if this is actually an egg from one if my ducks or just a very large chicken egg?? Thank you all so much, I'm so confused!!

The first two pics are from when I first got them, the last two pics are what they look like now.
Do you have pics from when you first got them and now? My Runners were 4 months old when mating began and 4.5 months old when eggs began coming.

They look like they could have been two weeks old . And they look very mature and gorgeous but I can’t imagine they are laying yet. Any way you can separate the ducks from the chickens or put food coloring around their vent then if one is laying would be very easy to know chicken from duck . Does the egg have a waxing substance come off when you scrap your nail across it ?

Nothing scraped off of it lol. I'm starting to think the same thing, that it's still too early. I think it came from my Easter Eggers, because it has a tiny of blue to it. Two of my chickens lay blue eggs, and two lay pink tinted. Another two lay light brown eggs. One solo chicken lays dark brown and another lays a small white one. Never even heard of jumbo eggs until I saw them online

Sounds about right then, this is the first really big one I have gotten, usually they are pretty much on the medium to smaller side. There's this one chicken that I have, she lays shell less and sometimes squished eggs. Is that because she has just started to lay her eggs? She's 8 or 9 months I believe and she is a beautiful golden buff orpington. They eat egg layer food with oyster shells included.
My EEs lay pretty blue eggs and they are pretty large.

Okay! I might try that if those don't start hardening up. Thank you so much for your help!
It could be because she is a new layer you could also get some calcium citrate with D3 and give that also for a few days to a week. You can add it to their feed or mix it into their water.
