I noticed this morning my 9 month old hen can't walk straight. she's using her wings to balance. She was ok yesterday. She is thin. I usually get three eggs a day (three hens in pen) but lately there are only two. my husband saw a soft egg on the floor a week or so ago. her vent looks normal. she has feathers missing on top by tail. I assumed that was from an overly aggressive rooster, I've since rehomed. It's melting snow like crazy here and they have been digging in the water puddles in their run. Is this possibly coccidiosis? I haven't observed her poop yet. just brought her in.

I would try to get her drinking water and offer some moistened chickens feed and bits of egg. Is her tail up or down? Does one leg seem weaker than the other? She could be dehydrated, sick, or injured. Try to get a picture of her and her droppings. If she is having problems laying eggs or soft eggs, she may benifit from giving human calcium with vitamin d3 once a day. Just pop it into her beak to swallow.

Hi she seems to sway to the left but I can't find anything physically wrong with her other than missing feathers above her tail but I replayed some camera events and one of the hens was picking at her back where the feathers are missing. So that's not an issue. Since she's been inside she lays all the time except to eat and drink. her droppings are green and white and runny. there's food mixed in the picture, that was laying on the floor. I started her on corid when I brought her in. She isn't really interested in eating or drinking. no eggs since she came inside. Her tail stays down. she will stand up when I
open the pen door.

There hasn’t been any improvement at all. She’s laying down with her legs fanned out. She’s not eating and I can only get a few slips of water in her. I’ve tried softened food, chopped kale, and raw egg. I have been giving her nutri drench. I had vitamins in the water switched now to rescue 911. Tonight I gave her a dose of tylan 200. Her poop is a kind of dark green/ black. Not much at all. And she breaths heavy. Not wheezing, no drainage, not open beak. And she is super pale. I’m at a loss, I don’t know what else to do. :(

Anybody??
She could be eggbound or having laying issues. I would give her a calcium tablet every day for a few days.

She is probably dehydrated now that she's been several days without eating or drinking and is weak. When this happens, I usually syringe water mixed with electrolytes and vitamins into my hen until she is strong enough to eat/drink on her own.

I’m giving her water with egg and recover 911. It has electrolytes, pro-pre biotics and oragano, also threw in a half of a calcium tablet. Syringe full every hour

The loss of balance can be a vitamin deficiency. Try adding Poultry Cell to her water and her egg for a few days. If she starts to improve on it, keep giving it for at least two weeks after showing improvement.
